X-MEN #10Written by VICTOR GISCHLERPenciled by CHRIS BACHALOCover by TERRY DODSONVariant Cover by CHRIS BACHALOThor Goes Hollywood Variant by TBA“TO SERVE AND PROTECT,” CONCLUSION. The X-Men and Spider-Man have made their way through the New York City sewers only to be overwhelmed by a legion of bloodthirsty reptilian monsters. Now they’ve been captured and turned into mindless creatures themselves with only Spider-Man and Emma Frost left unscathed. Can this unlikely pair work together long enough to restore the X-Men and defeat their mysterious opponent? Or will they too join the ranks of the Lizard X-Men? 32 PGS./Rated T+ …$3.99

So far, I’ve been loving this arc. I might be a sucker for Bachalo art, but you can’t argue that this story hasn’t been entertaining panel by panel. It really is true that you can’t be an X-Man unless you’ve been transformed into some kind of monster or alien at least once.

UNCANNY X-MEN #536Written by KIERON GILLENPencils & Cover by TERRY DODSON“BREAKING POINT” Part 2 (of 4). When the X-Men left the militaristic alien Breakworld, its political structure was reduced to ashes. It didn’t stay that way forever. Join them as they discover what the vessel means for them, mutantkind and the rest of the Earth. All courtesy of KIERON GILLEN and TERRY DODSON. 32 PGS./Rated T+ …$3.99

I’m hoping for more Magneto action in this issue. Either way, I’m glad there’s a fresh (kind of) creative team on this.

On My Pull List This Week:

X-MEN #8Written by VICTOR GISCHLERPenciled by CHRIS BACHALOCover by TERRY DODSON“TO SERVE AND PROTECT,” PART 2 After braving the lizard-creature infested sewers beneath Manhattan, Spider-Man reveals to the X-Men just exactly who they are up against. But this doesn’t explain the rash of disappearances of outcast teenagers. Why have they vanished, and what do these kids have in common? The X-Men must use their best detective skills to discover the secret, but nothing prepares them–or Spider-Man–for the surprise villain who is pulling all the strings. 32 PGS./Rated T+ …$3.99

I ended up liking X-Men #7 a lot more than I thought I would. The storytelling and characters reminded me so much of the wacky 90s-ness that I miss so much from my X-Men comics. Bachalo’s art is alway welcome, in my opinion. Peter joining the craziness is also very much welcome, as I haven’t read a good Spidey/X-Men team-up in ages. Looking forward to this one.

That awkward moment where you realize you’re going to ship Erik/Hope. Also, HOT WHITE HAIRED MEN OVERLOAD

I’m all for shipping Mags with younger ladies, but DAMN, HOLD UP, lol. And yet….
Anyway, I kinda wish Mags would stop using Erik and start using his real name again. Max is just cooler to me *kanye shrug

stars in my eyes etc CABLE BE MY DAD EXCEPT THAT’D BE AWKWARD SINCE I AM SO ATTRACTED TO YOU

Guys, I have to admit something.
I LOVE HOPE. I think she’s adorable, and I actually kind of like Generation Hope so far. It’s not the best, but each issue gets better.
Also, Cable, lol. What ^^^ she said.

You should not be afraid to admit that you love Hope or that you’re enjoying Generation Hope. You have at least one person who feels the same way.
Also, Generation Hope has so much potential, and I really hope the writers can live up to that potential, cuz I’m quickly falling in love with those characters.

GOODBYE Fraction/Land. HELLO Gillen/Dodson!! Please, stay a while, guys! This could very possibly be just what we need to get Uncanny back in the game as far as X-titles go. I am SOOOOO ready for a break from Land art. SOOO ready. And Terry’s Kitty is gorgeous!
